What can the iglidur® materials for continuous operation do?

Every iglidur® plain bearing is wear-optimised. However, the materials for continuous operation, such as iglidur® J and iglidur® W300, are characterised by very low wear rates, which means a long service life. In addition to their service life and the price level, the materials for continuous operation differ among other things by temperature and load ranges as well as the applicability in conjunction with special shaft materials.

Like all iglidur® materials, endurance runners have the following specifications:

iglidur® J - The versatile endurance runner

  • The versatile endurance runner, highly resistant to wear on (nearly) all shafts with very low coefficient of friction
  • Low wear with many different shaft materials
  • Low coefficient of friction during dry operation
  • Vibration-dampening
iglidur® J material and specifications

iglidur® W300 - the classic endurance runner up to 30MPa

  • The classic endurance runner, very wear-resistant on (virtually) all shafts
  • For especially long service life
  • Low coefficient of friction
  • Extremely high wear resistance
iglidur® W300 material and specifications

iglidur® J3 - The new endurance runner

  • Specialist for panning and pulsating loads
  • Low coefficient of friction
  • Good media-resistance
  • Low moisture absorption
iglidur® J3 material and specifications

iglidur® J350 - endurance runner with high dimensional stability at high temperature

  • Can be used with many kinds of shafts and loads
  • Excellent coefficient of friction against steel
  • Fulfils the fire prevention requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration of the USA (FAA) for aircraft interiors
  • Continuous operating temperature up to +180°C
  • For medium to high loads
iglidur® J350 material and specifications

iglidur® J260 - Ideal for plastic shafts

  • Ideal for plastic shafts
  • Very good coefficient of friction for low or medium loads
  • Good media-resistance
  • Slightly higher temperature rating than iglidur® J
