Long service life + recycling = zero waste
These are aspects that really concern companies and for which a sensible solution is needed! igus® has therefore taken up the cause of tackling precisely these problems. With a 4-year guarantee for energy chain and cable and the ability to know how long the products will last in your application, the resource-saving use of plastic can be initiated at the planning stage. You also have the certainty that the product will last and can plan the exact time when a replacement is necessary.
This means you have no downtime and, at the same time, a long service life ensures that you do not produce unnecessarily large quantities or generate waste due to damaged goods
Nevertheless, another question follows: What happens after the service life? Thanks to our chainge® programme, you can return your used energy chain to the circular economy. igus® recycles the chain and you receive a voucher for your next order.

Longevity is a key issue when talking about sustainability. When products last a long time, fewer new products need to be produced, which significantly reduces the ecological footprint. What's more, with a precise statement about the service life of the products, you can plan with certainty and reduce downtimes.
Why can we give you precise service life statements and a 4-year guarantee?
Recycle instead of throwing away
chainge®: Recycling made easy
The recycling platform for the circular economy: We simplify the recycling of technical and industrial plastics for you. On this platform, you can recycle your energy chain from igus®, as well as plastic from other manufacturers. We have already recycled around 100,000 kg of plastic since 2019.

Does it have to be...
... that a line replacement takes a long time?
- Company: Noble Drilling
- Product: e-loop® on an oil rig
- Success for the customer: Time reduction of 8 hours and savings of €60,000
igus® has developed the e-loop® as an alternative to the service loop so that cables with large cross sections and high weights can be guided safely in suspended applications. The energy supply is a round, three-dimensional modular system that can move cables with a defined bend radius without strain. The cables can be inserted individually and replaced during maintenance. The chain links can also be replaced at any time.
Increase the service life of the energy supply with energy chain systems
Energy chain systems from igus® ensure the continuous supply of energy, data, fluids and air and are constantly in motion. Our task is to offer you all components - energy chain, cable, connector, "smart" components and all accessories - as a complete system and to guarantee reliable function. We will find the optimum energy supply that works best for your application.
