Conveyor technique

A transport device has been designed for shopping trolleys in a building with complex route guiding: It has straight, curved and also rising sections. Due to limited space, the device has been mounted underneath the ceiling of the floor and it is fed by a lift. At the end of the suspension, the route guiding travels through the ceiling of the upper floor. There, it passes to the extraction point for the trolleys. The entire length of the conveyor system is approximately 80 m and is divided into six separately driven areas. The exact guide system should operate without lubricants and be maintenance-free if possible. Because the insertion and the removal of the trolley were positioned three-dimensionally offset to each other, a horizontal S-curve and a ramp with convex and concave route transitions had to be designed.  A drylin® double rail system was chosen: It allows a freely designable route track layout.
