igutex® plain bearings are made of fibre composites. The additional fibres and fillers ensure high wear resistance even in heavy-duty applications such as bearings in ramps of ferries. As the plain bearings contain solid lubricants, they require no maintenance or additional lubrication.

Two-component heavy-duty plain bearings for large quantities
iglidur® Q3E is our injection-moulded heavy-duty plain bearing made from two components. The sliding surface consists of iglidur® Q3 and is surrounded by a high-strength jacket. The combination of both materials ensures high mechanical resilience with low wear. As they are produced via injection moulding, Q3E plain bearings are very cost-effective.
Our energy chains are used in telescopic launch and recovery systems. The rods must be strong and operate reliably even in heavy seas. The e-chains ensure that hydraulic hoses and cables are guided safely.
The remote-controlled deep-sea system from the Marine Technology Group at the University of Bremen dives to depths of up to 4,000m. All components are exposed to temperature fluctuations, ranging from 40°C on deck to 1°C in the water. The arms of the submarine collect samples on the seabed, and triflex multi-axis energy chains protect the cables and tubes located there.
An ocean wave energy converter demonstrates an innovative approach for generating electricity from renewable energy sources. The installed parts have to be extremely resilient and "suitable for seawater" due to the aggressive environment. The surface pressures achieved are around 50MPa, the maximum speed amounts to 10rpm. The decision was made in favour of iglidur Z plain bearings. They help achieve significantly better results than bronze plain bearings, for example.
