Fibre Optic Cable CFLG88

Test number:

4794

Bend radius:

55mm (factor 7.8xd)

Service life:

17 million strokes

With this test we analysed the expected service life of the CFLG88.2.50/125 in an e-chain with a 35 mm radius.

A test result of over 17 million strokes confirmed that the cable ensures permanent good data transmission in tight installation spaces.

The CFLG88 in real life

The CFLG88.2.50/125 graded-index fibre cable has been specially developed for flexible use and is ideal for demanding indoor environments. It perfect for dry, dust-intensive areas, such as stone-processing machines. High-quality multimode fibres guarantee secure and reliable data transmission, even under adverse conditions.

For even more versatility, we also offer the CFLG88 with fibre diameters of 62.5/125 in our online shop.

CFROBOT5 fibre optic cable

Test number:

3105

Test parameter

+/- 180°/m

Service life:

Globally, 27 million Cycles

With this test we analysed the expected service life of the CFROBOT5.501 in a torsion application in the triflex R at a rotation angle of +/-180°/m.

A test result of over 27 million cycles confirmed that the cable fulfils the high demands of a measurement application.

Using the CFROBOT5 in practice

The CFROBOT5 robot cable family's fibre optic cable is always immediately associated with a six-axis articulated robot because torsion is so important in that application. But the cable has other uses as well – customers very often have to transmit sensitive signals. Such signals come from actuators that are guided in free, unspecified movements, and torsion also plays a role there. Extremely precise measurements produce an incredible amount of data, which can be transported most reliably (and interference-free) with a FOC. The challenge is to cushion the sensitive glass-fibre element in the cable such that it cannot be damaged, while of course also doing so permanently.

CFLG.2LB fibre-optic cable

Test number:

4011

Bend radius:

35mm (factor 4.2 x d)

Service life:

50 million strokes

With this test we analysed the expected service life of the CFLG.2LB.62.5/125 in an e-chain with a 35 mm radius.

A test result of over 50 million strokes confirmed that the cable ensures permanent good data transmission in tight installation spaces.

The CFLG in real life

Mechanical engineers and manufacturers of doors and animation devices for trade shows were looking for an extremely compact, easy-to-install chain system including guidance. We responded with our micro flizz, which uses an FOC so that data can be transmitted in very small installation spaces. Our CFLG.LB is a cable family that can reliably transfer data in small bend radii and on long travels. Its abrasion-resistant outer jacket made of TPE allows it to do this very reliably for a long time.
