iglidur® - maintenance-free two hole flange bearing

With this type, it is possible to use iglidur® high-performance plain bearings where no precisely toleranced housing bores are possible. The design means that high loads are possible with minimal demands on the precision of the housings.

iglidur® G two hole flange bearing covers an extremely wide range of different requirements. This is why the material is rightly described as universal. Applications with medium to high loads, medium surface speeds and medium temperatures are recommended. iglidur® G is the decathlete among the iglidur® materials. It performs exceedingly well in all technical disciplines and is the classic all-rounder, primarily with respect to the overall general, mechanical, thermal and tribological specifications.

Assembly

Depending on the loads, different types of mounting can be considered. With low radial loads, it is sufficient to simply mount iglidur® flanged bearings to a surface with two screws. For higher radial loads, it is recommended to support the iglidur® flanged bearing on the reinforced side in the load direction in a hole. Large tolerances are permissible for this hole, since it is only important to additionally support the iglidur® flanged bearing. In order to support even higher radial loads, the iglidur® flanged bearing can be pressed in with the longer side in a hole with H tolerance. The additional screw connection secures the seat of the bearing in the housing. No special tools or devices are required for the assembly of the iglidur® maintenance-free flanged bearings. It is also easy to align the bearings on shafts with multiple bearings during assembly.
